Peggy Smith Carpenter, 67 of Fayetteville, died Sunday, May 1, 2016 Burial will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park . Mrs. Carpenter was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Glenn Carpenter, Sr.; parents, Adolphus Martin Smith and Lelia Calcutt Smith; brothers, Martin Rudolph, Reese Arnold, Jerry W. and Robert Smith; sisters, Barbara A. Bottoms and Isabelle S. Owens; daughter, Glenda Carpenter Regan; and grandson, Jerry K. Mullins. Surviving are her son, Johnny Carpenter and wife Joyce; grandchildren, Ashley Smith Carpenter and Dustin Glenn Carpenter.
