Obituary

Peggy Hardiman Carter, 88, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025. She was born on October 21, 1936, to the late William E. and Caroline Hardiman.

Peggy loved to paint and was a longtime member of the Fayetteville Art Guild. She loved spending time with family and going to the beach.

She is survived by her sons Brad Carter (Jocelyn), Edward Carter, Brandon Carter, Bevan Carter (Natalie); daughter Emlyn Gendron; and grandchildren Kellyn Davis (Brandon), Lilly Carter and Nathan Carter.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Betsy Pankey.

A visitation will be held at Jernigan Warren funeral home in Fayetteville from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025. The funeral will be held at White Hall Church in Dillwyn, VA on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

The family would like to acknowledge the loving and personal care Peggy received at Carolina Inn as well as from Liberty Hospice.
