Peggy Core Harris, age 80, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 9th. She was born June 24, 1934 to the late Mr. and Mrs. James Core.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Earl "Mack" Harris. She is also survived by her daughter, Joyce Oliver and husband, Ollie; son, Jim and wife, Fran; and son, Jeff and wife Dottie; grandchildren: Angela Greene (Tyler), Jason Oliver, Christina Harris, Lauren Cranford (Sam), and Joshua Harris (fiancé, Hayley Kerr); great-granddaughter, Avery Greene. She is also survived by her sister, Patty Strange (George).

Special thanks are given to the caretakers of Hope Mills Retirement Home and the NC Veterans Nursing Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12th at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13th at Galatia Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
