Mrs. Peggy Jean Newton Jones, 70 of Murrells Inlet, S.C. formerly of Fayetteville, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 in The Agape Senior Conway Post Acute Care Center in Conway, S.C.

Mrs. Jones was born November 12, 1944 in Cumberland County to the late Milton Newton and Elizabeth Ray Newton.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Newton Boone and Barbara Newton Griffin; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday. August 1. 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel with a private burial in Galatia Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home following the memorial service.
