FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Peggy Marie Williams, 84, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, in her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. in St. Matthews United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Marc Werner officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Williams Sr.; and a brother, Joe Walls. She is survived by a son, John A. Williams Jr. and wife Linda of Fayetteville; daughters, Carolyn Clements and husband Thomas of Fayetteville; Sherry Hopkins and husband Larry of Newport; brother, Stanton Walls of Hollsopple, Pa.; sister, Vickie Spangler of Stoystown, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
