Obituary

Peter Campbell "Pete" Kinlaw, 98 of Fayetteville, Passed away Monday November 26, 2012. He was born December 10, 1913 in Cumberland County, NC to Joseph Campbell Kinlaw & Lou Stallings Kinlaw. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and owned & operated Kinlaw Radio & TV on Person Street for a number of years. Pete was very much a loving family man who was always concerned about his family. He was a veteran of World War II where he spent four years serving his Country. He was married to Mary S. Kinlaw for 70 years and had three children, Carolyn, Terry and Kramer. He was a loving and caring Father who loved his Family more than life itself. He was a great Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He always set high standards for all of us and instilled in all of us values and integrity. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. When he saw them, he would always have the biggest smile on his face. One of his passions was to have them visit him so he could slip them candy and goodies that he knew they were not suppose to have. Anyone who ever visited him will tell you that you could not go to his house without eating before they left. He loved to have people visit with them. One of his favorite times was when his five grandchildren spent the weekend with them and celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary. The grandchildren still talk about that weekend and how much fun it was. In their eyes, there will never be another PaPa like him. He was a one of a kind and there will never be another one like him. We will miss him, but we know that he is with his Family in Heaven now and one day we will see him again and that great big smile he always had when he saw any of us. Daddy we love you and know you will always be with us in our hearts!!!!
