Retired Army SFC. Phillip Barton Bell Sr., 67, of Fayetteville, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, in the N.C. State Veterans Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 in St. Joseph's of Cupertino on Pope AFB with the Father Eugene Kole officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Bell is survived by his wife, Maria Bell; and children, Sylvanna McWhite and partner Charlene, Jenna Even and husband, Ted, Elizabeth Bell, Phillip Barton Bell, Jr, and Juanita Bell; brothers, Kenneth Bell, Ronald Bell, and Stephen Bell; sisters, Judith Collins, Patricia Rinehart, Martha Brown, and Renee lewis; and grandchildren, Alfred Bethea, Jamie Campbell, Janay Campbell, Theodore Even, Julian Bell, and Thomas Even. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
