Mrs. Pola R. Pirtle, 85, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, October 7, 2007. Mrs. Pirtle enjoyed singing in the choir and doing solos at her church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at 1 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel. The burial will follow at the Raleigh National Cemetery. She is survived by her two sons, Mike Pirtle and his wife, Susie, of Fayetteville and Larry Pirtle and his wife, Joanne, of Chicago; a brother, Kenneth Redmon of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, Sheila Bannon, Lance Pirtle, Michelle Pirtle, Lawrence Pirtle, Randy Pirtle, and Allen Pirtle; and two great-granddaughters, Kaylee Bannon and Audrey Pirtle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Pirtle and a son, Jerry Pirtle. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm.
