Dr. Ralph Arnold Marowitz, 93, died Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Bethesda Health Care Facility.

Dr. Ralph was born on April 10, 1930, to Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Marowitz of San Rafael, California. He spent many years of his childhood in an orphanage. At 17 he met and fell in love with Alice Charlleta Hill, the love of his life. He and Alice were married in 1948 at the age of 18 and they enjoyed 72 years of marriage.

Dr. Ralph joined the military at the age of 15 in the Army Air Corps during World War II and served in the Pacific Campaign, specializing in para-rescue operations. He transitioned into US Air Force and then served later in the Korean War. He flew on B-24 and B-25 aircraft with an OSS focus on para-rescue and insertion operations. Later he would work for Strategic Air Command with a focus on placing important air bases across Europe. His final assignment would be as a Chief Master Sergeant/E-9 working at the 3 Star Level and working in Vietnam and the US. He retired after 24 years.

After retirement from the military, Dr. Ralph worked at Dillard department store while continuing his education, before being called into full time ministry. He earned three PhD's and 90 credits toward a fourth and never stopped loving to learn.

Dr. Ralph pastored many churches over the next years of his life and was a Dean at Rhema Bible Training Center as well as a professor at Oral Robert's University.

In 1992, Dr. Ralph was called to move to Fayetteville to help Pastor Al at Covenant Love. He served as Senior Associate Pastor for many years and started the Destiny School of Ministry where he spent many years teaching and training the next generation of disciples.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 12 Noon at Covenant Love Church. The family will receive friends from 11am to 1150 am at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sandhills State Veteran's Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC.

Dr. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Alice and their only child Paulette Denise Marowitz.

He is survived by his two granddaughters, Heather Wilson (husband Michael), and Sarah Moore (husband Jason); six great grandchildren, all of Charlotte, NC; and a host of adoring Covenant Love Family including many of our Pastors on staff who he personally taught in the Destiny School of Ministry.
