DURHAM- Mr. Raymond Royce Beaman, 78,of Fayetteville, went home to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 20, 2012. He passed away at Duke Medical Center in Durham County. Raymond was born on August 26, 1933, to the late George and Annie Beaman. He attended Village Baptist Church and served in the United States Marine Corps. He had a wonderful sense of humor with a beautiful smile. He was also a faithful witness for Christ with his simple faith of love for others. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 3 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Dr. Bruce Martin officiating. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene and David Beaman. He is survived by his wife, Star H. Beaman; his four children, Shannon Beaman, Greg Beaman and wife Donna, Tim Beaman, and Tony Chavonne and wife Joanne; four grandsons, Grayson and Tyson Chavonne and Tyler and Clint Beaman; two granddaughters, Lindsey and Nicole Beaman; a stepson, Steven Herrington; grandchildren, Tiffany Pafford and Brandon Herrington; and a great-grandchild, Noah.
