HOPE MILLS - Raymond Glen Wilson, 82, of Hope Mills, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, in his home. Mr. Wilson was a Navy veteran.
He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Wilson was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by a son, Carlos Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5810 Rockfish Road, Hope Mills, with Bishop David Lockhart officiating. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery in Norwood, Colo.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, March 19, 2009, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Doris Irons Wilson of the home; a son, John C. Wilson of San Diego; daughters, Betty Lou Workman and husband Rodney of Blanding, Utah, and Wendy Brock and husband Nephi of Hope Mills; brother, Wayne Wilson of Redvale, Colo.; sisters, Anna Lou Waterman of Grand Junction, Colo., and Betty Jean Irons of Grand Junction; 10 grandchildren, Timothy Workman, Stephen Workman, Corey Workman, Jason Workman, David Wilson, Kelsey Brock, Jordan Brock, Daniel Brock, Dorey Brock and Emma Brock; and nine great-grandchildren.
