Rebecca Tyler Jones, 97 of Fayetteville passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Rebecca was born March 17, 1919 in Robeson County, N.C. to the late Mattie Blue and William Ellis Tyler.

Mrs Jones was preceded in death by her husband, William Jacobs; sons, Berline Adolph Jacobs and Laverne Jones; daughter, Lila Mae Scott; sisters, Eula Jacobs, Beulah Jacobs, and Clyde Jacobs; brothers, Bill Tyler and Thywell Tyler.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in Galilee Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery #5. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

She is survived by a son, Andrew Ellis Jacobs of Fayetteville; daughters, Sherry Harris of the home, Louerra Jacobs Moss of Chatsworth, Ga., Berlether Locklear of Red Springs, and Laura Scott of the home; a grandson, Kraig Carter of the home. numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren and a fifth generation grandchild, Jeremiah Lockamy; several nieces and nephews, special niece, Patricia Jackson and a special friend, Cynthia Graham.
