Mrs. Rebecca Frances White, 84, of Fayetteville, died Friday, March 7, 2008, in her home. Mrs. White was born May 3, 1923, in Kinston, the youngest child of Sam and Katie Askew Jones. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008, in Village Baptist Church with Dr. Bruce Martin officiating. Entombment will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Kinston at 4p.m. A visitation will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Joseph L. White Sr.; son, Joseph L. White Jr. and wife Teri of Wilmington; daughters, Joyce Tabor and husband Richard of Chapel Hill, and Candace White of Raleigh; and grandchildren, Clay Tabor of Chapel Hill, Katie White of Wilmington and Joey White of Wilmington.
