Mrs. Rene Shirley Vedamani Nathaniel, 71, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, February 10, 2011, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Nathaniel was a linguist at Fort Bragg. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 1 pm in Jernigan Warren Funeral Home by Pastor Younis Farhat. Prior to the service the family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Nathaniel of the home; brother, Leslie Charles of Atlanta, Ga; and sister, Lynnete Kumar of India.
