Mrs. Retha Eileen Danko, age 69, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 10:42 p.m. in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Eileen was born August 3, 1937, in Gary, Ind., to William and Ruby Ping Pierson. Eileen loved to serve and help everyone she came in contact with. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her five children with her husband, Nicholas Danko Jr., all of whom served in the United States Marine Corps.
