Rev. Dr. Dennis Cecil
Lamm
Aug 17, 1942 — Jul 1, 2026
Fayetteville
Rev. Dr. Dennis Cecil Lamm, 83, a devoted servant, beloved family man, and steadfast friend, passed away on July 1, 2026, in Fayetteville. Born on August 17, 1942, in Wilson County, NC, Dennis’s life was a testament to his unwavering faith, compassionate heart, and enduring commitment to his family and community.
Throughout his life, Dennis was known for his gentle spirit and depth of wisdom. He found great joy and purpose in his calling, touching countless lives through his guidance, counsel, and leadership. His life’s journey was grounded in service, marked by his devotion to the teachings of compassion and understanding.
He was a graduate of Mount Olive Junior College, where he met the love of his life, Jennifer, who also shares his birthday, August 17. He also graduated from Atlantic Christian College.
Prior to being called into full-time ministry, Dennis was in youth ministry and active in local and foreign ministry work. He was called into the ministry in 1996 as a second career after having spent many years in the field of logistics. His passions, other than preaching, were in the areas of Bible studies and small group ministry.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Noble Lamm, with whom he shared years of partnership, love, and support. His legacy continues through his daughters, Danae Lamm Alig and husband Deacon Mike, and Natalie Lamm Park, who brought him immense pride as they built their own families and followed their own callings. He found special joy in his grandchildren: Benjamin Noble Alig, Milan Elizabeth Alig, and Michelle Christine Alig. Their laughter and accomplishments brought light to his later years. They nicknamed him, "Old Shark." He started it and they loved it!
Dennis’s warm kindness extended to his broader family, including his sisters-in-law Jerry Croom and Judy Goodson; brothers-in-law Bert Noble (Debbie), Larry Noble, Roger Noble (Janice). He also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Willard Lamm, and his mother, Lillie Eva Thorne Lamm, whose early guidance shaped his values and character. Also cherishing his memory are those who have gone before him: his son-in-law, Donald George Park; sisters-in-law Nora Noble Henry and Carol McCombs Noble; and brothers-in-law Kenneth Ted Goodson and Douglas Leroy Croom.
Dennis’s life was filled with significant milestones and deep relationships. He was a source of counsel, grace, and humor to all who crossed his path. His service touched many, fostering a legacy of faith and love that will endure beyond his years.
