STEDMAN -- The Rev. Clyde Randal Strickland, of Stedman, departed for his heavenly home Saturday, March 30, 2013.
He dedicated his life to serving his Savior and the church; first at Stephenson Avenue Pentecostal Holiness Church in Savannah, Ga., for seven years; and then at his home church, Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church in Stedman for more than 30 years. His loving, caring and generous spirit affected the lives of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family, church family, friends and community.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the Tabernacle in Falcon, with the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield, the Rev. Greg Dixon and Phillip Strickland presiding. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Randolph Strickland.
He is survived by his wife, June H. Strickland; children, Joanna Gray and husband Jim, Lynn Jeffrey and husband Travis, and Phillip Strickland and wife Ashley; grandchildren, Judah, Julianna, Jacob and Jennalyn Gray, and Cooper and Caden Jeffrey, all of Stedman; mother, Laverne Strickland; brothers, Allen Strickland, Doug Strickland and Wayne Strickland; and sisters, Darlene Fisher and Anita Williams.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight, Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church.
