Richard Lee "Andy" Anderson, 70, of Fayetteville went to be with His Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2017.

He was born in Richwood, WV and the oldest of three siblings to Elmer and Mazy Anderson. He leaves behind a wife, Mrs. Hattie Anderson; six children, (Brenda, Kimberly, Clevell, John, Leslie, and Kellie), many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Richard was devoted to his family and to his country. He served proudly in the United States Army and retired Civil Service at Ft. Bragg. Richard enjoyed life and never met a stranger. Those that knew him, worked with him or lived near him were blessed with his knowledge and his love for mankind. He is loved and will be deeply missed, but Heaven is rejoicing as another soldier is beside our Father in Heaven.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors with Rev. Steve England, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
