FAYETTEVILLE - Richard F. Melton, 82, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, in Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center. He retired from the Army as a sergeant first class. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was also a member of Lafayette Baptist Church. Services: Graveside, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mr. Melton was preceded in death by his wife, Toyoko Melton. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
