Richard Thomas Smith, 70 of Wade, NC passed away Tuesday November 8, 2011 in Humble, Texas. He was an Army Veteran. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, A graveside service will follow at 3:00pm in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street, the Rev. Herb Young officiating. He is survived by his wife, Sherlie Smith, 2 daughters, Susan Lautenschutz of Blumenstrasse, Germany, and Laura Evins of Humble, Texas, 2 brothers, Randy Smith & his wife Debbie of Indianoplis, Ind and Raymond Smith and wife Gail of Fayetteville, a sister, Rhonda Walker and her husband Richard of Wade, 4 grandchildren, James, Joseph, Kristina and Siloma, Several Neices and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Thelma & Bishop Smith, a sister, Jeanette Lee and a brother, Daniel Smith.
