Richard Henry Van Tassel's Obituary
Richard Henry Van Tassel, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 1, 1949. He is retired from the US Army and served in the 82nd and the 101st Airborne Divisions.
A committal service with Full Military Honors will be held at 10am on Friday, October 20, 2023 in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
He is predeceased by brothers, Kurt and Robert Van Tassel.
He is survived by a nephew, Theodore Van Tassel and a host of friends and loved ones.
