Ricky Lee Spratt, 28, of Rockingham, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in his sleep.
He was born June 11, 1985, at Fort Bragg, the son of James and Rhonda (Joyner) Spratt Jr. He attended 71st High School and graduated from Alta High School (Salt Lake City, Utah) in 2003, where he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.
Ricky was an avid outdoorsman and pursued fishing at every opportunity. He especially enjoyed the company of his dog, Moose. He had recently finished school for his CDL. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone. He attended the Manna Church in Fayetteville.
Ricky is survived by his parents, James and Rhonda of Linden; his sister, Kristen Franklin (Spratt) of El Paso, Texas; and his daughter, Jessica Lee Spratt. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, James and Shirley Joyner of Clinton; and his paternal grandparents, James and Phyllis Spratt of Scottsdale, Ariz. He is also survived by his fiancée, Amber Deason of Rockingham and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be at noon Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2p.m. in the Lafayette Cemetery on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Jernigan Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
