Rita Elaine Derrick, 71, or Star, NC, formerly of Fayetteville, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at Duke Medical Center. A graveside service will be held Thursday April 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 1-1:45 p.m. Thursday Surviving are her sons, Scott Derrick and Troy Derrick; sister, Karen Fisher; step-mother, Mary Cotten; step-brothers, Wayne West and Jeff West; and one granddaughter.
