After several months of struggle, Mr. Robert Shawn Barnes, 44, of Fayetteville, lost his battle with liver disease. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 1 pm in Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Nick Rich presiding. The family will receive prior to the service from noon to 1 pm at the church. Shawn is survived by his mother, Bernice Barnes; his brothers, Earl Barnes and wife Donna and William Barnes; nephews, Earl III., Stephen and John Barnes; nieces, Stephanie, Jessica and Ash Barnes and Mandy Unger; and his caregiver and our wonderful friend, Ben Clark, who was always there for him. Shawn's love of family, the drums, softball and fishing will always be remembered. The family will receive friends from 12noon to 1pm in Grace Baptist Church with a memorial service following at 1pm in the church.
