Robert "Bob" William Edmonds, 99, of Washington, DC  passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.

Robert was born August 19, 1921 in Kenbridge, VA to the late Pattie and George Washington Edmonds.

Robert served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Graveside services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.

Survived by his daughters, Robin Hudson (Floyd), Wendy E. Hicks-Powers (Ronald); grandsons, Floyd Hudson, III (Tia), Robert Hudson (Kelsey), Thomas Hudson (Kelci),  and Steven Hicks (Jada); great-grandchildren, Floyd Hudson, IV., Dylan Hudson, Braydon Hudson, Myles Hudson, and Isley Hicks.

In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest  donations to be made to the Friends of VSU-Virginia State University, 1 Hayden Dr. Petersburg, VA 23803.
