Robert Mack Haney, 78, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Robert was born on May 28, 1943, in Harnett County to the late Ernie Haney and Alice Moore Haney. He retired as a CW4 Physician Assistant with the U.S. Army after 26 years of service. He also after 20 more years retired as Physician Assistant with Civil Service. He then volunteered his time with the Fayetteville Care Clinic for several years. His military service included tours to Germany and Hawaii along with Vietnam and Desert Storm.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel with military honors. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home.

Robert was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Troy Haney.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosemary Haney; daughters, April Haney Stratton, and Allison Haney Brennan; grandchildren, Rachel Tolliver, and Adam Troy Haney; sisters, Ernestine West, Hazel Haney; brothers, James Haney, and John Ed Haney; and several nieces and nephews.
