Mr. Robert Junius Johnson, 72, of Gray's Creek community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 2, 2014, in his home.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be heldat 2pm at the Bladen Union Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday October18, 2014. Please join us.

A private graveside service will be held atLafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street immediately thereafter.

Junius retired from the state of NC in 2002 after having worked with them for over 10 years. His real passion was farming and had done so for many years. He graduated from Gray's Creek High School in 1961 and was a member of the Future Farmers of America.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Nadine Johnson.

He is survived by his sisters, Glenda Evans, Joyce Minkley and Nancy Rogers; grandsons Bill & Michael Evans & wife Kathy, Bryan Dix & wife Kelley, Eric Rogers & wife Jo Carol, Isaac Rogers & wife Melinda, great grand children Lauren & Ron Evans, Autumn McNeill, Lance & Ethan Rogers, & Michael & Megan Wright. 5 nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews; and also his care angels who lovingly provided for him include: Tammy Hendrix, Shelia Hare, Rita Jackson, Connie Gregory, Irene Dunn, Annie Davis, Sherry Johnson, Lisa Edwards, Melinda Lewis, and Kelly West.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Neuropathy Association or Bladen Union Baptist Church.
