(SGM) Robert Jay Kerstetter, 77, of Fayetteville, NC, died Friday, October 27, 2023, at Womack Army Medical Center.

Robert was born March 20, 1946, in Wenatchee, WA to the late James Barnes Kerstetter and Catherine Nance Jones Kerstetter.  He retired from the US Army.

Robert is survived by his wife, Roberta Isaacs Kerstetter; sons, Christopher Robert Kerstetter (and wife Tammy) and Peter Aaron Kerstetter; granddaughter, Sheena Hohing; grandson, Brian Kerstetter (and fiancée Allison Bruce); great-granddaughter, Sadie Hohing; great-grandson, Braxton Kerstetter; and sister, Linda White (and husband Bill).  Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Kerstetter (and wife Karon).

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.  A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 9:00 am in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel.  Committal will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Ft. Liberty at 10:00 am.
