FAYETTEVILLE - U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Robert Thomas Nichols, 41, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 in Snyder Memorial Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Curtis Rice and Chaplain Lt. Col. Jerry Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West on Raeford Road with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Staff Sgt. Nichols was the son of the late William Earl Nichols. He is survived by his wife, Cathe Nichols of Belcamp, Md.; son, Dylan Stultz of Fayetteville; daughters, Chelsea Amber Nichols of Fayetteville, Destini Stultz of Fayetteville, and Marissa Nichols of Fayetteville; brother, Robert Bryan Henson of Whitesboro, Texas; sisters, Tawnya Bier of Gunter, Texas, and Suzanne Olson and husband David of Fort Worth, Texas; mother, Linda Jean Nichols Henson of Whitesboro; stepfather, Randy Henson of Whitesboro; stepmother, Nina Nichols of Baltimore; nephew, Pepper Bier; and nieces, Pippen Bier and Seren Olson.
