Robert "Bob" Perry Muncy, 86 of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in his home. Bob was born January 28, 1930 in Bland, Virginia to the late Mary Elizabeth and Grat McNutt Muncy.

Bob was preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Smith and Geraldine Muncy; brother, Grat Muncy. Bob was retired U.S. Army and founder of Cape Fear Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a life member of Kiwanis International and a member of Cape Fear Kiwanis Club for 25 years. He was a former elder at Highland Presbyterian Church and a member of the John M. Wilson Sunday School Class. Bob was past president of the Cumberland County Shrine Club and a member for 50 years.. He was a life long contributor to many community and charitable organizations. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In Highland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Ewart Wyle, officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park with military honors and masonic rites. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Bob is survived by his wife, Betty Nunnamaker Muncy; son, Lee Muncy; stepdaughters, Kathy Nunnamaker Epperson (Gary) and Karen Nunnamaker Richmond (Kevin); granddaughters, Justice Muncy, Olivia Richmond, and Savannah Richmond; nieces, Libby, Shawn,Gerrie, and Nancy. The family would like to express their appreciation to the many compassionate caregivers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
