Mr. Robert Scoggins, 54, of Godwin, died Thursday evening November 3, 2011, in his home. Robert was a Lt. with the Fayetteville Fire Department where he worked for 23 ½ years; he was also an Assistant Fire Chief at Godwin/Falcon Fire Department. Robert was the Time Keeper for the Market House downtown for twenty years. He was a Deacon at Antioch Baptist Church in Falcon and he was a master at crappie fishing. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 6, 2011, at 3 pm in Tabernacle Holiness in Falcon, with Pastor Sammy McLamb officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 9 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dianne Scoggins of the home; daughter, Angie Hill and husband Danny of Godwin; son Wesley Scoggins of the home; grandson Ethan Hill; sister, Joyce Adams and husband Grady of Fayetteville; and brother Billy Scoggins and wife Hilda of Miami, FL.
