Robert E. Watkins Jr left this earth the morning of December 16th, 2015 at the age of 61 to his final resting place. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was fortunate enough to have lived all over the world.

He is preceded in death by his father, LTC Robert Watkins, his mother Ms Joie-Belle Parler, and his step mother Mrs Ann Watkins. He is survived by siblings Glenda Snively of North Carolina, Bobbie-Jo Oppitz of Maryland, James Watkins of Georgia, and Lisa Harrison of North Carolina. His was a caring uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews and served as a grandfather to his nephew William Wellmon for many years. He was a true and giving friend to those he knew and helped many in need he did not know whenever asked.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Monday, December 21st at 1100 AM at the Haymount Free Will Baptist Church.
