Robert L. "Bobby" West, 66, of Fayetteville, died peacefully in his home Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, surrounded by his family and friends. Mr. West served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from the Department of Defense as a deputy commissary officer. He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe West. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at 2 p.m. in Judson Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 19, 2007, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Mr. West is survived by his wife, Alice; his son and daughter-in-law, Don and Cindy West; his daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Brian Moore; his grandchildren, Nichole, Justin and a grand baby-to-be; his mother, Mabel West; his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Donnie Dees; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Harvey, Clyde and Alex. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
