Roberta McConnell Gore, 81 of Fayetteville, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 21, 2023.

Born on December 6, 1941,  in Brooklyn, NY to the late Robert McConnell and Emeline Harris McConnell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Randy Michael Gore

She was a retired teacher and assistant principal with Cumberland County Schools. Roberta was a generous, kind, and loving person. She loved children and was a great friend to all.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 47 years, George M. Gore and a sister-in-law, Annie Smith (Ben) two brothers, Hugh Thomas McConnell and wife Janet and Robert David McConnell along with two Cousins Vikki Harris and Gloria Maraldo (Stephen) and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 11am to 12noon with a funeral service following in the funeral home chapel at 12noon with Rev Tim Gore and Ben Smith Officiating, Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West on Raeford Road.

Flowers are appreciated and those wanting to make donations can do so to St Jude Children's Hospital.
