Ronald F. Beard (Personal Page) Ronald Fay Beard, 69, of Fayetteville, arrived at his heavenly home on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008. The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Aug. 6, 2008, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Tew and the Rev. Randy Barker officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Mr. Beard was an Air Force veteran. He was an instructor of an electrical code class at Fayetteville Technical Community College and worked as a Cumberland County electrical inspector for more than 20 years. He retired as a supervisor with the inspection department in 1999. Ronald was a loving husband, devoted father and beloved grandfather. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. He will be greatly missed by his family for his selfless acts of love and Godly wisdom. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubbard and Lossie Beard; three sisters; Gladys Watkins, Jane Abis, Evelyn Arnold, and a grandson, Zachary, who was waiting in heaven for his PaPa. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn N. Beard of the Home, Daughter, June Bullard and her husband Scott and their children, Meagan, Summer, and Storm all of Fayetteville, A Daughter, Loretta Shannon and her Husband Keith and their Children, Victor, Brent, Cindy, William and Carman.
