Rosa Williams Spruill, 87, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel with the Rev. Kelli Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Friday one hour prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Mrs. Spruill was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon L. Spruill, Sr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George L. Williams; brothers, Billy, George, Jr. and Johnny; nephew, Bill, Jr.; step-daughter, Dorothy Detter; step-granddaughter, Joelle Detter; and niece, Elaine Williams Tunnell.

She is survived by her step-son, Vernon L. Spruill, Jr.and wife Sue; grandchildren, Vernon L. Spruill, III, Leta Spruill Spain and Stephanie Detter Purser; 6 great grandchildren; niece, Sue Williams McNally and husband Steve; and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hay Street United Methodist Church or to one's favorite charity.
