Roy C. Wilson Jr.
FAYETTEVILLE — Roy Clark Wilson Jr., 64, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012.
Roy was born March 18, 1948, in Fayetteville, to Edna Wilson McLain and Roy Clark Wilson Sr.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2012, at Friendship Baptist Church in Hope Mills. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Tom Hayes officiating. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street with military honors.
Mr. Wilson attended Seventy-First High School. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. Roy was an employee of Purolator for 36 years and served as a maintenance manager. Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Mr. Wilson was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Veola Revels Wilson; two sons, Roy Clark Wilson III of Denver and Anthony Scott Wilson, of Columbia, S.C. He also is survived by his mother, Edna Wilson McLain; and his brother; David Wayne Wilson. Mr. Wilson leaves behind two daughters-in-law, Stephanie Etheridge Wilson and Katherine Walters Wilson. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Ashleigh Nicole Wilson and Lilly Grace Wilson. Mr. Wilson also leaves behind a special niece, Maggie Renee Revels. Lastly he leaves behind "Bubba," his faithful blonde lab.

Visitation: Sunday May 6, 2012 from 2pm to 3pm in Friendship Baptist Church in Hope Mills
Funeral: will follow at 3pm in the church
Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street with Military Honors
