Mrs. Ruby McConnell Fisher, 82, of 211 Kirkland Drive, Fayetteville, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital. Mrs. Fisher retired from the Social Security Administration after many years of service. She was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in Peace Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Annelle Waldron officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, March 18, 2008, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville; and at other times at 208 Forest Creek Drive, Fayetteville. Mrs. Fisher is survived by a son, Fred Fisher of Fayetteville; a daughter, Sharon Fisher of Fayetteville; a brother, Ernest McConnell of Alabama; a sister, Ann Bolan of Hawaii; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
