FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Ruby Flanary, 92, of Fayetteville died on September 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Sion Holder and Alda Martin Holder; husband Ralph W. Flanary, Sr. and Sisters Clara Holder Wilson and Melba Holder Inman. She was a volunteer for over 17 years at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital, part of the CFV Hospital System, with over 10,000 hours of volunteer service. Awards included Volunteer of the Month and Volunteer of the Year. She was a faithful member of First Christian Church for over 60 years. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday September 15 at First Christian Church, 1505 Ft. Bragg Road, Fayetteville, NC. A funeral service will follow and be conducted by Pastor Clay Boyd at 2:00 PM with interment following at Lafayette Memorial Park. In addition to many dear friends and relatives, she is survived by three sons, Ralph, Jr. (Sarah), David (Karen) and Phil (Beth), four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and brother, Sherrill Holder (Myrtle).
