Ruth Cecilia Rettman, 81, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 08, 2017. She retired from 30 years of Civil Services employment.

She is preceded by her parents, Joseph F. Sheridan and Esther Adamson Sheridan and Floyd W. Rettman, her husband of 61 years.

A memorial service will be held at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:00 noon, visit will be one hour prior to the service at 11:00.

Ruth is survived by her son Neil Rettman, daughthers Belinda Rand (John) and Catherine Masten all of Fayetteville. Brother Cecil Sheridan of Henderson, NV, sisters Veronica Orbin of Cloquet, MN and Lorrain Halstrom of Largo, FL, Grandchildren Erin Ayers (Matthew) of Jacksonville, NC and Priscillia Rettman of Tampa, FL, Great grandchildren Ayden, Everett and Maverick.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister who was loved by her family.
