FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Turner went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, April 2, 2012. Ruth was born in St. Pauls to the late Eddie Frazier Sineath and Lizzie Ella Scott Sineath. A wonderful mother, homemaker, cook and gardener, Ruth had a tremendous wit, she easily laughed at herself and never met a stranger. She had the uncanny ability to figure things out well before anyone else. Ruth also enjoyed frequent visits with her family members at Holden Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 63 years, Richard B. Turner; as well as five siblings. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Richard Turner of Wilmington, and Ken Turner of Fayetteville; daughter, Donna Turner Phillips of Kansas City; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; and a sister. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Cross Creek Cemetery. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
