Sadie J. Corbett Pittman Loftis

Sadie Loftis Passed away peacefully Friday, November 27, 2015 at Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro. Until recently she was a resident of Fayetteville. Sadie was born August 25, 1932 to the late James L. and Nettie P. Corbett. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dewey, Junior, Austin and Earl; sisters, Roxie, Ruth and Ethel. She was an army wife of the late John Harold Pittman. They were stationed in Germany, New York, Marlyand, Texas and Ok. She was also the wife of the late Rev. W.C. Loftis. Her daughter Carolyn Jean Chiara is in Heaven waiting for her mother. She loved her family, friends and her church, Praise Fellowship Church of God in Fayetteville. She is survived by her grandsons, J.J. and James Chiara and 3 great grandchildren and her companion Princess who now resides with the Silver family; lots of nieces and nephews. She was a day care giver and she loved all of her babies. A special thank you for the love and support of Linda, Irma and Joe Zema her neighbors of 53 years, Jean and James Silver. Thank you for the special care and love that she received from the loving staff of Laurels of Chatham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Praise Fellowship Church of God. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 10 -11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to ones favorite charity in her memory.
