Mrs. Sara Reeves Foy, 90, of Greenville, NC, and formerly of Fayetteville, NC, died Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the ECU Home Health & Hospice, Greenville, NC.

Sara was born November 16, 1933, to the late Perlie Austin Reeves and Bertha Holmes Reeves.  She retired from First Citizens Bank after 38 years of service.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward Franklin Foy; sisters, Hilda Sibbett, Linda Berckman, and Shirley Coleman; brother, Larry Reeves; brother-in-law, Gene Sibbett; and sister-in-law, Patsy Reeves.

Sara is survived by her son, Edward Dean Foy; granddaughter, Katelyn Harris (and husband David); great-grandsons, Bryson and Dalton; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Berckman and George Coleman; sister-in-law, Mary Poe Reeves; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:50 a.m., at Victory United Methodist Church, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary.  Burial will follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC 28301.
