Sara H. Vance passed away on June 27, 2019 at her home in Fayetteville ,NC.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2019  at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 10:00 – 11:00 am.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Preacher Wayne Seaton of West Fayetteville Church of Christ, officiating,  Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park West (Raeford Road) following funeral services.

Sara was a member of The West Fayetteville Church of Christ, Fayetteville, NC. She is preceded in death by her parents, David Allen and Alice Elizabeth Hamblin of Houston,MS

Sara graduated from Houlka High School as Salutatorian of her class.  After graduating, she worked in various occupations in her professional life: she worked in County Extension Services, Houston, MS, served as sales secretary for Printer Lithographer firm in Columbus, GA, secretary for 82nd Airborne G3 Training Division, Fort Bragg, NC,  secretary for real estate appraisal service, Fayetteville , NC, retired from a Medical Records Transcription position with Cumberland County, Fayetteville, NC in April 1997.  She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, H.Gene Vance of  Fayetteville, NC; a sister, Loyce Clark of Clarksville, TN; four nieces, Marie Tillman of Clarksville, TN, Teresa Mullier of Harvest, AL, Kay Ivey and Wanda Smith of McKenzie, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children 's  Research Hospital, 262  Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
