Sara Lynn Hester, 61, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Edwin and Evelyn Hester on July 29, 1960. She graduated from Douglas Byrd High School in 1978 and devoted her life as a caregiver to her mother.

Her sociability was like none other. She loved people; thus, people loved her. She devoted her life to comforting her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.

Graveside service Friday, December 3, 2021 at 1 pm at Lafayette Memorial Park.

She is survived by her former husband, Kenneth Thornton; sons, Brent and wife Alyshia, Travis and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Ryleigh, Waylon, David, and Kaleb.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice of Fayettevlle or the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation.
