Mrs. Sara F. Rogers, 75, formerly of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, in Richmond County Hospice Haven in Rockingham. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at 11a.m. in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville with the Rev. Colin Shaw officiating. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Pearce; and brothers, William Fulmer and Charles Durwood Wilson. She was a chartered life underwriter (CLU), chartered financial consultant (ChFC) agent and office manager for Tax Sheltered Planning Inc. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Victor Rogers; her son, Thomas and wife Margie of Vass; and her daughter, Susan Smith and husband David of Waxhaw. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Theresa Steigerwald, Jennifer Rogers and Laura Smith. The family wishes to thank the staff at Tara Plantation in Carthage, Moore County Hospice and Richmond County Hospice for their love, respect and care given during Sara's illness.
