Mrs. Sharon Ann Bilbrey, 69, died Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Sharon was a teacher and loved what she did. She loved teaching and mentoring children that were lucky enough to be in her class. She taught in the Cumberland, Hoke, and Robeson County schools. Sharon was National Board Certified and was a Future Business Leader Advisor for over 20 years.

She and her husband Earl are also members of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where they loved their church family. She was also a member of the NCACTE and NBEA.

Sharon graduated from Cape Fear High School, received her bachelor's degree from Fayetteville State University, then received her Masters from East Carolina University.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; daughter Amanda (Jared Gollnitz); grandchildren, Elijah, Joshua, Kayla, Eliana, and Ethan; sister, Calphurnia Jordan; brother Seavy Braxton; 2 nieces, Teresa Kellum and Robin Lambert.

The family will receive friends Sunday January 7, 2024 from 5 to 7 PM at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 at 2 PM at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
