Stormy Price Griffin, 60, of Linden, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

She was born October 4, 1962, in Harnett County to Sherwood and Irmgard Price.  She had a successful career as an underwriter for Union Home Mortgage Co.

Stormy loved her family, friends, and all living creatures; rescuing many, and making sure no animal went hungry.  She loved being surrounded by the beauty of her yard and enjoyed exploring the woods with her husband.  She enjoyed cooking for her family, making each family member feel special by preparing their favorite recipes.  Stormy prided herself in being fiercely independent and inspired other women to be as well.  As her name implies, Stormy was a force to be reckoned with.  Stormy's greatest joy in life was being an Oma.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Mitch Griffin; son, Allen Griffin; mother, Irmgard Price; sisters, Joanie Cooke (Tom), and Carrie Wood; two grandchildren, Skyler Griffin and Allena Griffin; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 2 to 3 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow at 3pm in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel.
