Susan Elisabeth George, age 79, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away on September 5, 2026.

Susan was born in Omaha, Nebraska. She devoted 50 years of her life to working as a hairdresser, a profession she approached with dedication, creativity, and her characteristic attention to detail. Throughout her career, she formed many meaningful relationships and touched the lives of those around her.

Susan was known for her wonderful sense of humor, caring heart, and distinctive personality. She was a perfectionist who took pride in the things that mattered to her and was never afraid to be herself. Those who knew her will remember her laughter, her generous spirit, and the many memorable moments she shared with family and friends.

She had a special love for her dog, Bella, and enjoyed music, dancing, and gardening. These interests brought her great joy and were an important part of her life.

Susan is survived by her sons, Mark Pezzella and Mike Pezzella, and her daughter Tina Pezzella. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Susan's memory will be cherished through the many years she shared with those she loved. Her kindness, humor, strength, and unique spirit will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

May she rest in eternal peace.

A gathering of friends will be held from 3pm to 6pm, Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
