Retired Special Education Teacher Susan Sheree Sikes, 59, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday 30 January 2015 in Burgaw, NC.

Ms. Sikes was a 27 year education specialist with the North Carolina State Teacher's Association teaching at Caswell Center in Kinston, NC. She also taught Special Education for 3 years in the Evans County School system in Claxton, Georgia.

There will be a memorial service held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday 7 February at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home on Ramsey St. in Fayetteville.

Ms. Sikes is survived by her sister, Suzette Ray and husband Tom of Fortson, GA; brother Charles R. Sikes Jr. and wife Karin of Hampton, VA; brother Chandler R. Sikes and wife Jan of Dunn, NC; and nine nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
